Sounds sappy right... but this piece of #wednesdaywisdom came when I was presented with a choice today. Let my son cry for 20 minutes on his walk to before school care or rearrange a 7:30am client meeting and go with him. Ordinarily (cause I’ve done it before) I let him leave sobbing and I go to work - smiling and professional - but dying a bit inside. Today I didn’t do it, I walked with him. He giggled the whole way, and on the way he pointed out a rainbow. It had just been raining and the rainbow was huge, spanned the whole horizon and was bright as the sun. We stood there together holding hands, smiling and admiring it for a few minutes. Drop off was ok and I got home and no major dramas from the client, they will update me later .. I’m so happy I chose rainbows today.
